Bio: Darren Jones was born in 1959 and has lived near Georgia Avenue on Columbia Rd. and Hobart all of his life.  In this interview he describes growing up in Pleasant Plains, attending Monroe Elementary School, the playgrounds, churches, eateries, shopping and recreation.  He grew up at a time when everyone knew each other and for him there was much more of a sense of community.  He has always been active in the community and is currently President of the Pleasant Plains Civic Association.  He describes current issues in the community and notes differences in the issues that he faced versus what his son is now facing.
